alright i am about to dive into the world of full towers. i won't be water cooling yet because my pump died and i dont feel like messing with that again (bye bye best 1700+ I had).

I have it narrowed down between the AOpen h700b and a good ole chieftech.

my main worry is that my SATA cables wont reach from my mobo (see sig) to my drives mounted above the PSU in the Aopen. So i will likely have to find some longer SATA cables.

Basically i just want to know what you all think. For the AOpen is there decent intake fans? To me it only looks like one on the front and one on the side. Overall what do you guys think in terms of airflow and convinience. I dont really care about looks, both are decent looking.

Even though you will need longer SATA Cables with the AOpen, it wont affect the performance of the drives as with serial data transmission the bits are sent one after the other. With parallel they are all sent along side by side although some may be slower than other taking them out of sync which is why you cant have very long PATA cables. Personally, I would go for the Chieftec. All of the cases are strong and sturdy, their quality is unparalleled (except for the Antec cases which the Chieftec uses the same design as.) They have plenty of room for case fans, they have hard-drive cages that are easily removable, what can I say? They are simply great cases and excellent value for money.

Both are fantastic cases really. The h700b is an ideal water cooling case, but if you are not going to be water cooling it well thats 1 less reason to get it. It does have a removable motherboard tray however. If thats something you are looking for it may tip the balance. On the downside the h700b is not aluminum, if thats even something you are worried about. Airflow should not be an issue on either case. Not only is there plenty of fans etc, but there is alot of space inside those cases which will help as well.
