Not sure how much benefit a Radeon 9600 would get from PCI Express, but whatever.

I thought PCI express was going to have a much smaller connection?

Mkay since when were 32bit PCI slots twice the size without any internal tab breaks?
That is probably an 8x PCI-express slot - the normal ones are 1x and are indeed tiny.

And why is that? EVERY card can benefit from PCI-Express
And ATi has been showing off PCI-Express for months. They were the first company to announce a fully funtional PCI-Express card, and still are the only ones that I know of.

The card isnt in production, nor will it ever be. Its a model to show that ATi has plans for the future use of PCI-Express, and as it has already been shown quite a few times on both a 9700 Pro and 9800 Pro, they are probably showing it on a 9600 Pro for stock holder satisfaction

well if you're gonna complain about a pci express 9600, why dont you complain about the 8x agp ti4200s? Its just marketing; people will buy 8x agp cards just because they have an 8x agp slot, and the same goes for this 9600.
