i recently bought a celeron 566 fcpga and im using it with an abit be6. i have the newest bios installed and it runs perfectly at 566. however i want to overclock it to 100fsb (850mhz). the bios shows that the default voltage (under softmenu2) to be 1.7v. now i know this is wrong because the 566's are supposed to be at 1.5v. Could this be the cause of my slocket? Its a no-name brand slocket. After seeing this problem i purchased an abit slocket to go along with my be6, but it hasnt gotten here. So any help? Is it my slocket? I have pc100 generic ram...wat are my odds of gettin up to 850 or above? thanx everyone.

The default voltage of CCo Celeron's is 1.7v so check which stepping you have and if its CCo then everything is fine and you should hit 850 easily. The older CBo Celeron's were 1.5v or 1.6v default. besides you most likely would need to turn up the voltage to 1.7v or more anyways. But you should have no problem hitting 850-950 with that chip especially if it is CCo.

thanx for the tip...but now that i try to push it to 100fsb it works fine in windows...but wen i play a few mins of counterstrike it crashes or locks up. i tried the voltage settings from 1.7 all the way to 1.9. still crashes. then wen i try other settings...75/83 it wont boot into windows...some reason bios automatically sets the softmenu to the celeron 266(66) settings. it wont save wen the fsb is other than 66 or 100. wat is this?! help! i want my 100fsb! should i purchase an abit slocket? i have a golden orb running rite now.

Isn't a BE2 not a 100mhz fbs mobo, i had one before and when firing it up it always was at 100 fsb default.Have you try'd flashing the bios with a update??
