I have a Tyan Trinity 400 and a Celeron 700, It Overclocks fine at FSB 83 C700@872. When I shoot a little higher to the 95 FSB Mark the computer fails to boot and I have to wipe the BIOS Memory, To make a long question short.

1. Should I go for a different motherboard? ( Specify Models Please )

2. Should I go with a different CPU?

3. Leave it alone Celeron 700@872 is fine.

4. Get some better cooling on your CPU, but also remember to cool your case well! :)

Seriously, what temps are you reading (in celsius)? If temps are high, there is a good chance that you need another CPU-cooler, maybe an Alpha or a Globalwin.

Have you tried upping the core voltage a bit?

From what I have seen with this Tyan mobo you can't change the voltage there are no jumpers for it and there is no option in the bios. I guess my best bet will be going with a different Mobo. Temp according to the gauge is running around 95F sometimes higher sometimes lower. I am adding a new CPU Cooler the fan I have on it currently is for a Athlon 1 GHZ it seems to keep it cool and the fact my PC sits by the window with both sides off there is a lot of air flow. I don't have any lockup problems its 100% stable I just can't get it to post with the FSB over 83.
