View Full Version : Voltage wire trick on P3-800E FCPGA
Has anybody successfull done the voltage wire trick on p3-800E FCPGA, with CUSL2-C board in particular? What is the voltage did you gain?
What are you talking about and why do you need above what is already in bios, 2.1 I believe. That should be more than enough for a flipchip
The bios show only up to 2.0v for my 800E and I thought i saw a post with wire trick that can boost that up to 2.05v.

why would u need more than 2.0V?? IMHO usually if it can't be stable at 2.0V its not worth increasing the voltage anymore, u might seriously damage ur processor! be careful!
The P3 800E core voltage is either 1.65 volts for the Slot 1 or 1.7 volts for the FlipChip. Where have you got 2 volts from ? Check out Intel's website.
I have also heard that a flipchip can run up to 2.6 volts but I wouldnt want to try it !!!!!!

chris, you can set the voltage for your chip from 1.65 to 2.00V in the bios of the cusl2-c, its a pretty good motherboard =)
