I have a P3 500Mhz Performance Gateway cpu
It has a Intel processor. I need to know if someone has successfully overclocked one and how.

And If possible. Also what cooling fans do i need to get to relieve the cpu of the added heat this will make.

Thanks if someone can help. Also i run on Windows 2000 Pro.

alpha heatsinks are the best,......but a bit loud and you need a good casecooling or a open case :-)

there is guide how to overclock somewhere on the page or the forum,....
basicly raising the Front side bus,....

Sorry dude I started out the same way. The BIOS on the GATEWAY mobo's don't allow to change FSB settings or Voltage. The solution was to get a new mobo with voltage adjustments on it too. I'd recommend the CUV4X, P3V4X or the latest and greatest..in my opion..the CUSL2-C. I only ever got mine to 560mhz.
