After looking and talking to alot of people in the forums about the bartons i decided to get a barton 2500+ instead of the 2600+ barton.

So today i went to the local Compusa looking for a nice unlocked one. First when we went in there, there wernt any 2500+ even out there on the shelves. I asked one of the cool employees to see if he could check the back. He came out with with tons of 2400+ is his hand and 2 2500+ batons. One was one of the new locked ones then he handed me another one. As soon as i saw one with a different color and different looking circuitry.

the steppings are AXDA2500DKV4D AQXEA 0331 RPMW

yeaaaahhhh

Why? This is incredible! Locked Bartons usually overclock more than old unlocked ones, they should invest in better RAM so they can oveclock their FSB way into 200s... and have a faster system than they would if they spent $250, heck even $150, on an unlocked Barton.

You only had to pay $70 at CUSA for a retail 2500+?
