View Full Version : Setting Bus Speed
Appreciate if anyone can help me....
My mother board is like a no-name one, Lucky Star or something, it only has bus setting (over default of 100) at 103, 112, 133. My question, can I use the SoftFBS to increase my bus to 124? I don't want to try at 133 cause it might fry the chip. Anyone help?

I may be wrong about this, OK? I'm pretty sure that SoftFSB can only give you FSB's that your mainboard already has. If your mobo's Bios/jumpers allow you to set 124 Mhz, FSB has the 124 Mhz option. If no 124 Mhz setting is native to the mainboard, you may be SOL with SoftFSB.

how correct you are i guess you are SOL but oh well im running my pc 133 no name ram @150 with no problem heres what i suggest.....set it at the next highest setting 103...run it for a while then up it to the next setting 112 or whatever then after about 1 week try it @ 133 hell who knows but you might have to up the voltage if you go to 133 to avoid crashes and stuff so i guess your stuck at 112 oh well unless of course you want to up the voltage
