I flashed the bios on an Abit BH6 board using the bh6_ss files. (Its not the rev. 1 board) Looks like thats ok but now Im getting a "CMOS checksum error" in the line where it should be counting memory. It gave me the option to hit F1 to load defaults so I did and it booted and seems to be working fine. Why did I get that and will it come back when I boot up again? How to fix this?
Thx

Best guess is that you were overclocked when you flashed the BIOS instead of setting everything to default first. You should be fine now. :)

well I had a cel300A @ 504 but took it back to the default 300 before I flashed. (The cel300 seems to like the 112 fsb :) been there for about a year as stable as can be default voltage too) But I have that set on 66 now and its running at 300. I dont know of anything else I had set in particular. Hopefyully when I boot up tonight it'll all be fine

My guess would be that maybe you did not clear the CMOS after flashing the BIOS.

That's exactly what it is. Read any instructions explaining how to flash your BIOS and the 1st rule after you've done it is to reset to defaults and do at least one reboot. This verifies the contents.
