I tried to OC my celeron 667 to 833 (@83 fsb). Both times I was able to boot and ran WinBench99 to test. The temp after WinBench99 was 37 and everything looked fine. But when I reboot, I got error messages indicating hard drive problems. Part of the FAT was overwritten and a lot of files missing. I had to reinstall Win Me for two times. Could anyone tell me what's wrong? I set Vcore to 1.70 when OC. My hard drive is a WD 13GB (not remember model number)
I'm using stock fan.

Also, I was told that for AMD processors, any temp below 60 is OK. Is this also true for celeron?

That is becouse the disk is probably old and cant handle the 83Mhz FSB, i had the same problem and i had to format the disk a couple of times just for testing it......try to set the FSB to 100Mhz instead of 83.......If it works the disk should be alright......and if it doesnt work.....get a newer disk or something

I had exactly this problem with my Seagate ST34321A (4.3GB, 5400rpm, UDMA33) at 83MHz bus. My ST330306 (30.6GB, 7200rpm, UATA66) is perfectly happy at the higher bus speed however. Neither win2k nor Win98SE could manage to format the disk.
