help oc 450 to 598... can only get to 558.

I've got a p3-450 on an asus p3b-f.

right now i've got the fsb set to 124, but after that the machine won't even post.

anyway around this?

a friend sent me to a website once that said to put tape over part of the slot or something - blah - i don't even remember it.

anyways, any help anyone can offer to break 124 would be nice as i need more speed (well it's a want).

what kind of ram are you running?

I also have a 450@558. soon to hopefully hit 600. I need 1 more stick of 133.(dont need just want)

yes it can be the ram, but it can also be the L2 cache
i had a P3 450@600-630,posted at 675
whit a P3B-F and L2 was 3.6ns

if the L2 is 4ns it while probably only go to 558
