I got my sister a new case (the Antec Sonata) and it has a front panel audio connector. She currently has an Asus P4B533 mobo with a Creative Sound Blaster Live! card, the basic model without the front panel extra. Anyway, the P4B533 has on board sound and im not sure if i should connect the Sonata audio front panel connectors directly to the mobo or should i plug it in the pins on the sound card? The manual dosnt tell me which pin does which and im not sure if the audio connectors on the mobo routes the sound from the PCI audio or only from the on board sound.

Could you ppl tell me whether to plug it into the audio connectors on the mobo, or into the sound card? If the latter, then which pins should i connect it to?

the connectors on the motherboard are for the onboard sound. You need to hook them up directly to the soundcard:)

problem is, i have no idea where to hook them up to on the sound card.
