According to WCPUID I have a Intel 440bx/zx motherboard. By the way my pc is a HP. If that helps any.
the intel 440bx/zx are chipsets used on most p2 motherboards, the motherboard manufacturers buy these from intel and use them on their boards. If it's a HP (hewlet packard?) then it is probabally an asus or abit board that HP have modified and changed the bios so that it is difficult to overclock etc.

can you tell me how to tell which motherboard it is? I've looked everywhere. Thanks
Quite often they are marked between the PCI slots. Does your system have on board video and sound with a PII? I have seen several that were P2B-99 (as I recall- I have notes at work to verify it) Asus MBs.

Now I know I found my motherboard. After a hell of a long time looking I found it.
It's a ASUS MEB-VM. II printed out everything I could find on it with the jumpers. Now all I need to know is how to jump them? Please help I'm getting closer.

hi, well im new to overclocking but here is my 2 cents on the meb-vm. right now i have a hp with the asus meb-vm and a celeron 366. i forgot the date but is a early malay say week 10 i think. i use the program softfsb to overclock.
is there any way to adjust the multiplier with this mobo?
how about read the cpu temp?
i have the fsb set at 75 cpu is 413mhz
my bios is ver 4.0 release 6.0c from pheonix
everything seems ok so far for the first few hours. i ran some benchmarks with freshdiagnose and they showed improvement.
i am getting a much better fps on diablo2
oh i have a bigger heatsink that i am using it came with a cyrix 600mhz. that cyrix i had in this mobo up at 666mhz and the performance seemed to be way worse than the celeron. it gets toasted in almost all of the freshdiagnose benchmarks. i may put it in and try it at a higher speed than 666?
plz any help with this mobo and these chips would be great thnx
Forget about changing the multiplier, those Celerons have locked multipliers. If there are no FSB jumpers on the board or no way to change the FSB in the BIOS, you might be able to adjust it using a program called softFSB that you can download from the internet.
