lets see whats on my desk that would work...
Motocross Madness 1, Rayman, Sonic, Sim City, GTA1, Diablo, Starcraft i think....and thats all i have near me.
you can try simcity 3k (the original, not the unlimited one),Battlezone, half-life single player (too slow for mp), dungeon keeper, alpha centauri (not 3d, but it's alot of fun.), maybe one or two of the old need for speed series. The first baldur's gate would work perfectly. Played it on a p166 with a 4 meg ViRGE and it ran pretty well.
Unfortunately I don't think Unreal I will work. I heard the min requirements was like p166, but in truth it was unplayable.
There's also an old game called Tanarus by Sony which is still played by people. (If you ever played Planetside, the lightning, vanguard and prowler all came from Tanarus.)
Thief I may also work too, but I never tried it on my p166. I might try loading my copy of Thief II on it and see if it'll work.
Daggerfall will defienately work (with some of the most ugliest graphics you've seen.) :attn:
try a site like classic-trash for some old abandoned games.

I really like the Twinsen games. They may be french but their great.
Try Twinsens Little Big Adventure: Relentless. It is a great game. It doens run under win XP and it needs a patch to run in win98.

Agreed
and I saw a post saying Doom
Those were the days, 3d graphics in a game, lol
Catfood, tried playing the original UT on a 4 meg video card? :D But I gotta admit though, that's pretty impressive to get 20 fps :)
A lot of it will depend on how mucy system memory that you have too. Also, can you OC that 166 to 200 or even 233? Man, a small OC on an old rig like that makes a huge difference. If you have 64mb of memory or more then WCII will play ok, and so will Diablo with the video card that you are using. They will run pretty well if that is a Voodoo based card with Glide. SC will run too, but probably not as well as WCII will. Solitaire should run quite well too lol ;) . Another one that is fun that I got to work on a P166 about this time last year was Oregon Trail 3. A pretty good game if you are setting this computer up for kids.

You'd be set if you can run Doom on it.

Carmageddon and Redneck Rampage
Probably one of the best RPGs ever, Fallout!
Load times will be kinda slow, but gameplay will be great.

Here are all 3 that i mentioned in case someone else out of curiousity wants to bring back some memories. They each are zipped and came off single floppies except Doom which was on 2 floppies. If anyone downloads Doom i made it as 2 downloads so as it can be downloaded to floppies because it has a file on the first which i'm assuming joins the 2 diskettes files.

Man, when I had my first computer, everyone was talking about pentium twos. I felt like god because I had a pentium 90!! LOL :p

We had a P133 with an ESS 1868 sound card, 1.5gig hard drive, 15in monitor, 16mb PCI video card, and 32mb of ram. I felt like god too. everyone else I knew was still on 386's and 486's. Few P66's too. I loved that pentium. The hard drive died a few years back and that was the end of it. The sound card is now in P2 equivalent emachines and the chip's in my junk pile. The monitor died two days ago :(
hehehe. i remember those pcs. my first system was a 386. then i got a 166 P1. WOW i was amazed by the 'blazing' graphics of the triden 4mb! then i slowly upgraded it to a Voodoo Banshee 16mb.
Pentium 166
Banshee 16mb PCI
Soundblaster 16
8x cdrom
32mb DIMM
2gb maxtor
played: Descent 1, 2., Doom, Wolfenstien 3D, U.S. Navy Fighters, Simcity 1, Total Annihilation (this game rocks!).
cant forget Duke Nukem! and Jazz the Jackrabbit.
i attempted to play Starcraft and Halflife on there.
Halflife ran at like 15fps.

what i did just now to run it in windows is :
Download and unzip the files to a folder
run BSTONE21.EXE
it'll extract more files to the folder
look for and run BSTONE.BAT
thats it because i just tried it and it worked

Mechwarrior 2: Mercs, its the first game I got for my first PC, which was a 233 PII w/ no 3d accel. I believe the min reqs are along the lines of a 133 / 166. Although I am not sure.

Yeah, I remember Jazz the Jackrabbit, cool game. Also, as someone said earlier, if you could overclock it a bit it might help.
