i read this at the p2 400 cpu database:

First Cover the B21 PIN on your CPU this will unlock the muli on you cpu go to tomshardware for more info on this. 5x100 and i can go higher the muli is not locked.

i thought the multiplier was locked. i read the b21 article before and i don't remember it unlocking a multiplier. does this guy know what he's talkin about or what?

I believe the B21 pin mod allows the motherboard to run at 100FSB instead of the default 66. There is no method of unlocking the multiplier from the socket.
