I am having trouble getting my speed up to 2600MHz and my FSB is only 166MHz when I would like it to be around 333MHz. My current settings are as follows:

A: CPU External Frequency MHz (166MHz)
B: CPU Frequency Multiple Setting (Auto)
C: CPU Freq. Multiple (12.5x)
D: System Performance (Optimal)
E: CPU Interface (Optimal)
F: Memory Freq. (Auto)
G: Resulting Freq. (Auto)
H: Memory Timings (Optimal)
I: FSB Spread Spectrum (0.050%)
J: CPU VCore Setting (Auto)
K: DDR Reference Voltage (2.6V)

When I changed the settings from above to below, my PC won’t boot.
A: to (200MHz)
B: to (Menu)
C: to (13x)
D: to (Aggressive)
F: to (100%)
G: became (200MHz)
H: to (Aggressive)
I: didn’t change
J: has a range of (1.650V – 1.850V) (I left it the same)
K: didn’t change.

Hardware is as follows:

AMD Atholon XP 2600 T-bred (currently at 2.1GHz)
128 kilobyte primary memory cache
256 kilobyte secondary memory cache
ASUS A7N8X2.0 REV 2.xx (A7N8X Deluxe) (board has a FSB of 400MHz)
Bus Clock: 166 MHz
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD ASUS A7N8X2.0 Deluxe ACPI BIOS Rev 1007 10/06/2003
RAM: PC2700/333MHz (1GB: two 512MB sticks)
Fan: Thermal Take Volcano 9
Ge-Force 4 MX 440 8x AGP (128MB DDR)

Thanks in advance!!!

The 166 you sees is a 333 fsb. The bus speed is based on a multiplier of 2 (2 x 166 = 333). Also the 2600 is not a 2600 mhz processor, the 2600 is a performance rating (an AMD thing) not a speed rating. The 2100mhz that you are seeing is correct for this cpu. Hope this helps.

lol - pc2700 usually doesnt run at 200 mhz first off . Second off to run at default volts for your cpu you would need to drop the mutiplier to 10 ish .. If your memory can do 200 mhz that is ..
