I take it you have tried to overclock this chip without increasing the core voltage. You should be able to increase the clock frequency without the need to up the voltage for a while. I dont know but doesnt ASUS have a way of changing the voltage through its Bios. Are you running on a Slocket with a setting on that?

Ignore the slocket bit, doh!!!

doesnt it have jumpers or DIP's as well as in the bios?........OK ,you need to set the jen jumper to jumper free mode for teh V-core adjustment to work in the bios , I think you may need to recheck the DIP switches also

agreed......my P3V4X will raise core just fine. you have the dip switches set to manual?

the thing is running on jumperfree mode already
and the comp has no video signal when it set anything higher than 6 X 144

there are no dip switches to change voltage
and i m running a slot 1

P3V4X does have dip switches but they set the BUS frequency, AGP divider and CPU multiple. Set the JEN switch to enable(jumper free) 2-3 closed. Set all the dip switches to off. This will give you auto for the AGP divider. The voltage settings and bus speed should all be available in the BIOS under the Advanced tab.
