ok, just started testing out my limits of my new (got it last week, and just now getting everything to work out...) video card. the card i got was a Albatron 5900epv Non-Ultra with a stock core freqency of 405, and stock memory frequency of 810.

got it up to 501/901 without any artifacts or graphical errors (that being the 3d preformace seeing as how i didnt oc the 2d preformance from 300) at only 48ºc full load (the temp of the card, not my proccessor).

when i go to 510/910, i start getting some really weird graphical errors (moved the core and mem evenly 10mhz at a time, while playing ut2k3 [cause dont know any other real way to test my oc'ed speed]). is that a pretty good speed for my card? what do yall think i should do next, move the mem or core up more?? thx in advanced

If you are seeing graphic errors, dont go higher. What kind of errors are you seeing? Does the game freeze every few seconds? Do you see white dots? Do you see weird colors and shapes randomly? If you can tell what you are seeing, than you can figure out of the Core and/or the Memory is overclocked too high.

try backing off the core and MAINLY the memory for the artifacts you are getting. Go down a little at a time until you dont see them anymore.

you mean just move the core freq to about 480, and try moving the mem freq higher, and that would be me better results??

also, what kind of cooling do you have on your 1.8a?? i have one also, but i cant even take mine to 110fsb w/o windows giving bsod b4 it even boots up... and you really uses pc2300, or was that a typo? :)

Be aware that even if you don't see graphical errors (white dots or rectangular blocks), your computer may freeze up during heavy gameplay.

been playing ut2k3 for 2 days (around 12 hours of total time), and no errors nor stability problems at all at 501/901

I have that on my fx5800 bought the max temp down by 10 degrees. However the fan thing is so freaking cheap just use a normal 80mm fan. I paid $10 for a 80mm fan and 2 long screws. Where If I had known at the time I coulda done it myself for like $2.00.....
But it's silent. I can get 500core stable now haven't tried going any higher. I haven't messed with the memory much either. But I know my mem will do 970 but then again I have ddr2...
