my luck stinks! p!!!700 cc0 not stable at 1008!(but why?).

im running it at 1008 at 1.98vcore right now. wont run prime95 for more than an hour. heat is NOT the problem. 28c under load. vid card shouldnt be the problem either(radeon) is an excellant high fsb card.
right now no pci cards or isa cards are installed. kingston valuram(infineon) 7.5ns pc133. my i/o(3.3v) is at 3.56v. that is the only choice. is this the problem? if i had a board with adjustable i/o voltage would it most likely get me going here? hmm. maybe it is the vid card, because at 1050 it boots, windows is all corrupted and scrambled. at 1085(my highest available setting), it beeps and no video at all. im currently just letting it "sit" at 1008.
also, the mobo is a soyo sy-6ba+100, and maybe the problem is the highpoint ultra dma 100 controller?

what do you guys think? do i need adjustable i/o voltage? is it my memory? or something else?

It's not your HPT UDMA100 controller.. It's probably not your I/O voltage either. Your Vcore is set fairly high for 1008mhz but your temp is good.

Your RAM.. Did it work well when upped the hell out of FSB like.. 140 to 150mhz? if so, then should not be the prob..

Last nite, you said you burned-in your 700 cC0@Not overclocked. That was a bad idea, hehe. You just trained your CPU to run well at 700mhz. Burn-in helps change the performance/stability behavior of your CPU each time you burn-in at different mhz speed.

Try burning-ing your CPU "at" OC'ed 1008mhz or little higher and see what will happen :P :P haha.. I love this new facial marks..

It could be the memory, or processor itself. Just FYI, we use the same exact motherboard here (6BA+ 100) to test all P3-700 SECC2 cC0s, with Mushkin Rev 3 memory, and ASUS GF2 card; no problem at all running 150+MHz FSB 2-2-2, air cooled.

i would bet its the memory. any way to be shure? the strange thing is it boots with no video at 150 or 155. i will try breaking it in at 1008 now.

Mr. chen, you think this is a good motherboard? i thought maybe i should have gotten an abit instead. but i wanted 2 isa slots and udma 100. this is the only board like that.
