newby to overclocking quick question

I have a p200 mmx cpu and a asus sp97v mobo . When I change multiplyer settings on the board nothing happens. I can change fsb to 75 mhz and get the cpu up to 225 mhz . Is the multiplyer locked on this cpu?

Almost all MMX Pentiums are multiplier locked unless you have one of those rare and mythical engineering samples.

You're going to have to resort to what we all have to do and crank up the FSB.

Thanks thats what I thought, I will have to settle for 225mhz. The board maxes out at 75mhz fsb .
