I've got a 600 celeron on a pcchips motherboard (M758lmr) the mulitplier is locked i can only select 66, 100, 133 computer will not boot at 100 or 133. i can set 66/100 thats my best yet but it doesnt change anything. i would have an easier time if i knew the cpu fpo/batch, any one know how to get this information or any thing about what im looking at here?

Have you tryed increasing the voltage a little, my 600 needs 1.75v to get 900 and 1.9v to get 1008, but I am using Artic Silver and an FOP 32-1. The batch number is on a lable on the processor so you would need to remove your heatsink but don't do this unless you have more heat sink compound to put back on when you replace the heatsink.

we don't need to know all that crap. I would suggest you buy a new motherboard, with agp 4x and raid, for better performance. But if you want to stick with that one and o/c the 600 you have to burn it in. If you burn it in @ 600 then i am shure you can o/c it to 900 without changing the voltage. If still no go then find out how to , maybe look in manual or send out a post with all your information and detailed motherboard information and then HOPEFULLY someone can help you better!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

I must agree w/ the previous post. I bought a PC Chips mb some time ago.......bad news all around. Surfed the web looking for answers, more bad news the more I looked.

Now I'm having a fistfight w/ a VIA chipset running my Celeron 600.

Get a slot 1 BX board, an ABIT Slotket III, bump the volts, and watch it fly................

I've got one of those little "Book PC's", the latest Intel version from Amptron with the new SIS 630E chipset and up to 64 megs of on board video ram. The mainboard is actually made by PC Chips. I put a Celeron II 600 in this little guy and it fired up @100fsb and 900 Mhz right out of the box. I can't change the vcore so I'm stuck with the 1.7v. I also only have 66, 100 and 133 fsb settings. But this thing screams at 900Mhz. If you can't at least change the vcore on that board I'd say you're probably screwed. Do the old shock method and run that thing for a minute or so several times without heatsink/fan or maybe until it screams a few times and then leave it off for a day and see what happens. Hehe. It works with AMD's anyway. If you can't even change the fsb then I'd say give it up with that board. Put it on eBay. Someone will buy it. And then invest in something better.
