Maxtor sata 120gb anyone know if they have set buffer size?

I am looking at a second hand maxtor sata 120gb drive but i want a warranty. So I checked maxtor site and it ways that the diamondplus 9 range have a 3 year warranty on all drives of 120gb or over but ONLY if they have an 8mb buffer. I am fairly sure the SATA 120gb only comes in 8mb buffer but i want to be sure so as I know I can RMA this drive if it fails on me. Anyone know if they are all 8mb or they make a 2mb as well?

I reckon I might just buy it you know excelsior, I dont think anyone makes sata drives in 120gb with 2mb buffer from what Ive seen. plus I doubt its over the year warranty yet anyway and I do need more disk space...........

yea im not sure, but i don't think ive seen any 120 gig maxtors with 2mb cache

they come with 3 year warranty :D... so go for it my friend
