View Full Version : 1 gb Corsair 3200 ?
Outpost .com is selling 1 gig of ram in 2 512mb sticks of Corsair 3200 memory for $129.00, AR. This seems awfully cheap, and I'm wondering if there's anything wrong with this stuff ? It's designated in the ad copy on-site as VS1GBKit400, if that helps.

That seems like a good price, but i think that is Corsairs Valuram series at 2.5 cas.
If your pinching pennies, Id get this. They do not come with the memory heatsinks though.
Thats corsair value ram.. its good for a stock-little o/c system, they may work fine @ 200 mhz fsb cas2.5
So this stuff, even if it's value ram, will run at the rated 200fsb speed, no problem-(and probably 10-20mhz more, one would think) ? Just out of curiosity, how much faster will the better stuff run ? I'm planning to use this in my A7V333, so it's unlikely to go over 175fsb w/my 4 to 1 divider, but I need a gig of ram, and figured it makes sense to go for higher rated stuff, so that I won't have fallen behind the curve when I finally upgrade my board. I'm also assuming this ram will work in my board ? Do you think that PC2700 ram of better quality, with faster timings, will run my computer significantly faster than the 3200 lower grade Corsair ? I do video editing, and am not a game player, if that makes any difference...
