As I said in the subject my P2350 wont overclock! I own an Intel MB440BX mother board in wich you change the CPU speed in the BIOS.... Simple right?

Wrong after I change the jumer settings to get the bios into configure mode it seems as though (GATEWAY) the computer manufacturer has taken the ability to change proccessor speed out of the bios!?

Maybe i missed something or did something wrong....

If you kow where i can pick up a copy of the bios for this M/B pls e-mail me.

Or if i missed something please let me know this **** pisses me off!

Almost all OEMs take away the interface for most of the BIOS after they are set. Its, in a way, like a BIOS image. The settings are there, yet the options to manipulate them are not.

OEMs=bad for overclocking.

here we go.

If you were to buy an OEM machine from the likes of micron or mesh, you'd have a motherboard that you could re-flash the BIOS on and start to really play with.

However, here comes my oldest addage - Gateway is synonymous with Intel is synonymous with NO overclocking.

Gateway use porper Intel motherboards, and whilst being as sturdy as buggery - they just simply won't do anything.

It would not be in Intels best interests to supply mobos that could overclock their chips
