why does quake 3 get all little fragments after like 2 minutes of gameplay? Its not because it is o/ced becuase i didn't o/c it. I gave up on the 1 ghz and am running at 1.65v now @ 877. What is up with this? I thought quake 3 was stable in win 2000? THANX GUYS!!!

Usually when you see video artifacts appearing, it's because of the PCI bus. At 877 your bus is defintely overclocked... Did you load a W2000 video driver?

i don't think its that tho...it was like the bitmaps were being corrupted and brought somewhere else in the level. I am going to download the newest driver for the ati radeon for win 2000 in like 10 minutes. THANX ANYWAY

This is where ATi fall flat on their face. They make poor drivers in comparisson to those by NVidia.

And windows 2000 drivers are never a simple thing since they are much more complicated than Win 98 ones.

I thought you'd o/ced that Radeon anyway. It could be that Rogue FSB you run and the therefore dodgy AGP speed you have.

Do you get artefacts at 700Mhz.
