Hi all,
I am absolutely new at this so forgive my ignorance..
I have surfed some of the posts for help but we all need to start somewhere.
I have a GigaByte GA-6LM7 M/B with Intel 440LX AGP bios. It has hard jumpers @ 66/75/83mhz.
I am running a Celeron PC6 2.0v 466a mendocino PPGA Socket 370 at 66fsb & multiplier of 7.0,
128mb ram, Win98se, Voodoo 3 2000AGP, Soundblaster liveplayer.
Is it possible to O'clock this system with too much trouble?

Might has well give it a try start by bumping the FSB bus up to 75 Mhz just keep an eye on your CPU temp you mihgt need to get a better heast sink and fan

Most of the ppga celerons top out around 600 or a little less. You can probably run 75FSB without a problem, and possibly 83 if your cooling is up to snuff. I would definitely give it a try! I have a dual 533@600 and it seems happy, but would not go any higher.

Well that was simple...
Changed jumpers and wella...
526mhz
No probs with the reboot and all systems seem normal.
Board temp has risen from 44c to 47c & steady with cover on, cpu temp @ 44.5c [room temp 28c]
Might give her a work out with a game or two to see what happens....

That's fairly warm- although the ppga chips run that way. A better cooler would probably be called for to go any higher.

Thanks Frank.

My PCI Bus speed is now at 38mhz with warning from SiSandra [norm 33]
Any idea how to change the fsb/pci multiplier. My MB bios does not seem to support a change anywhere that I can see.
cheers.
