i have an ATI wonder VE and it continues to freeze after about 15 minutes. the sound still continues however. then when i try to end the process ATMMC.exe, it wont end. if i try to run the tv tuner program, i get the hourglass, then nothing happens. so i have to reboot. shutting down takes about 9 minutes. then itll restart and everything is fine.....til i run the Tv tuner again...any ideas? i have the most updated drivers for pretty much everything.

What drivers are you using? (version numbers)

I think I used 3.7's with the matching MMC for that driver for the short time I had an Radeon 9000 All in Wonder.

if you have HT enabled on you processor.. thats definetly the prob. There is a conflict between HT and the ATI tv tuners... Ati support says that its up to Microsoft to fix the prob...for now only solution is to disable HT.

HT = HyperThreading.

You dont have to worry about it as your sig says you are using AMD. I beleive its just an Intel thing:)

Try moving your tuner card to another pci slot and see what happens, could be an IRQ conflict.

Yes, it is just an Intel thing, good call MaxiMouse. I would have to agree that there is a definite possibility it is an IRQ conflict. If you try it in a few other slots I am thinking that it might be a conflict with the SIS Xabre video card you have...heh, its possible. Just let us know what happens. Good Luck!
