hi there...
i'm right running my celly @900 with a goldenORB but sometimes it crashes in 3d-games like Q3A or NFS-porsche... so i guess the gORB isn't the best choose for oc'in isn't it ?!
you could help my by posting your recommends for some good coolers to buy, so i can finally reach a stable condition on my mobo... voltage is set to 1.6 by the way; i have no problems with running windows and some office tools... but when it gets to 3d-mark looping screen freezes sometimes so i guess it's getting too hot ?? thanks for the tips in my former posts ;-) i like this forum very much...

The Alpha are winners- the PEP66, I believe the 3125 is also good (not sure about the exact number). The Global Win FOP38 is also very good. You might want to look at the articles on the opening page about selecting hsf's and also under the cooling section there.

Is there any provision for upping your voltage with your mb?? I think if you could run 1.75-1.85, you'd be rock solid @ 900, and might get a bit more (927/945ish)

I'm running my Celeron II in a Soltek SL02A++ on a slot 1 mb. I have the voltage set at 1.9, and 945 is stable as the rock of Gibraltar.

The fact you have 900 at such a low voltage hints to me that you might have a good cpu, there. Some have to run 1.9 to get that high. Push it up a bit if you can. I bet you hit 945.

BTW.......I'm running a Gorb on mine, too. Temps nice and low so far.

I was thinking of getting an Alpha PEP66, but as they say, if it ain't broke........

thanks for your post Mr.B

i agree with you that it might be a very good cpu so far... ( although it's a cBo stepping ;-) ) - but here's my big problem : it might really run @945 stable if i could only upp this f***ing voltage a bit more !!! i hate this mobo ( asus cubx ) cause another user wrote me he had the same combo and he also couldn't reach the fabulous 900 because of the fact this mobo doesn't support voltages beyond 1.6 volt ... so i guess the best solution is to find a good slot1 mobo, buy an abit slocket and try again ( man, it's getting expensive...) or like the post before, try it with the cusl-c from asus... but i guess i try to snatch one of the last BE6-II from abit when i look at the database, this board really kick's ass... so have a nice time and feel free to send me feedback if my plans might be ok ( i'm not very experienced in oc so far ...) bye
