Hello,
I need to pick up a new mobo as my BE6-II series 1.0 crapped out. I recently changed towers, everything worked fine prior to the swap but since, I can not enter any sub menus within the bios after the install inot new tower. The keyboard does not function although it works fine w my laptop. I have been told I could have a short in mobo but nobody can find it incl me. I removed battery and cmos jumper to reset everything and still no help. System boots to first screen and hangs, can not enter bios and no keys on keyboard work (caps lock lights will not come on the keyboard yet it works w my laptop). Could teh port for the keyboard be shot??
I run a PIII700 @ 875 with Iwill slotket and Global Win fop32 heatsink, BE6-II mobo w lapped greenie and 7/00 flash, 2x128 pc 133 ram (infineon and nec), soundblaster pci 128, Maxtor 27 ata66, Yamaha 8x8x32 , Asus Geforce Deuxe DDR 32 meg vid card, and Realtek nic card.
I love this mobo and would like to buy the same again but am also considering Asus CUV4X-C ( I need an ISA slot) or I would buy a Asus CUSL-2 or Abit SE6-EP but they do not have ISA.
With the CUV4X would I be going backwards over my BE6-II?? Will Abit warranty a mobo w no receipt??
