Hold the INS. key downwhile trying to boot. If worst come to worse try removing the battery for an hour....Unpug 1st. Still won't go? Use the manual to find the clear the CMOS short and clear it. Good Luck!

on my p3v4x while its running if i press and hold the power button it will shut down, but when it restarts it will go directly to the bios. worth a shot. I know on some boards it goes by the bios enter prompt quickly, but not on the few p3v4x's that i've had. when you get into the bios its really easy, just make sure you only change the things you know about.

The INS or Home key and the bios jumper have to be your best friends when o/c'ing, read your motherboard manual really well and then make your changes.

I believe the P3V4X has a softmenu BIOS. Read your motherboard manual carefully. I'm running a PIII 550E (SL3N7) @733 on standard core voltage, and have been for about 10 month's (rock stable). If you're setting everything in the BIOS properly, and still not having any success, you may need to examine the BIOS version on your motherboard, and upgrade/reflash as needed. Good Luck!

i have a p3v4x board too
i go into the bios by using the del key....but if u turn on the comp using the power switch on then turn it off after 2 sec then awit for a few sec and turn it on again, the thing will jump into the bios menu

at least that's what happened to me, hoped it help u

if that doesn't work, u can always use the jumpers to set stuff.......
but make sure u switch the jumperfree mode off first or it won't work
