What are good temps for a Celly II 600@900 at default 1.7 volts. I'm getting 22*C idle and lower 40's*C under full load.

you are good. It would be better to see the highs in the high 30's, but that should be ok.

Just want to know what you have for cooling?
And what is the stepping of your CPU?

I run my 633 @ 1.9 (although monitoring software says 1.87)
and i stay under 40... vary rarly have i got it in the 40's and that is when i have my FSB set to 107.

Just thought you should be getting lower temps @ 1.7 volts... more like mid 30's under load

Using a Coolermaster DP5-6H51 not the best of coolers but its ok. cC0 SL4PB is the stepping. Maxes out at 945mhz. Tried above 945 and no POST. Tried all the way up to 2.00 volts, still no POST.

Your CPU temp under load is too high, you need better cooling before trying to overclock it more. I went through the same thing with my C-566, at about 43-44 degrees it would become very unstable and crash. With all the mods and fans and new CPU cooler, my load temps are now 33 degrees running at 850 MHz @1.65v where it used to be at least 40 degrees.

My Celeron 600@900 was in the mid-40s (load) with the stock hsf. Now it has a PEP66 with a quiet Sunon 23cfm fan. Load temps are about 30-32C (Seti or Prime95). CpuBurn for a 1/2 hour can put it up to 35C max.
