You can find of what clock generator your Motherboard uses very simply. Get Sandra, that MAY, or MAY NOT tell you...

If it doesn't no problem, just open the case and look on the motherboard. Don't know what you are looking for? A small black chip (ok they all look like that) usually in the upper right portion of the motherboard (that is what I have observed).

Now they chip will most likely say ICS or IC-Works on it... could be other things to mine is a "REALTEK RTM520-39D ".... Check SoftFSB, it has a list of most of them, and that will help you find what you are looking for.

Don't have SoftFSB? e-mail me and I will get it to you as you can no longer download it

Yes, i found the chip, it says ICS. I've got sandra already, i ran it and it says unknown. and the dam chip has no numbers or letters on it. I was able to download SOFT FSB, just ran a search using Google and checked out a couple sites and found one that would let me. if soft fsb and cpu fsb dont support my clock generater, does anyone know how to write the pll's that i need??

You checked the actual chip on the motherboard and their is no numbers on it? If you were only using Sandra to check, don't trust that 100% still do a nice and long inspection double checking that you found the Clock Generator,,, as I am 99.9% sure that the actual chip does say what version of the chip it is.

Okay i found the chip # 9248BF-102. Now does anyone know how to configure it to work with SOFT FSB?

i think that would be an ICS... but softFSB doesnt seem to have that PLL chip in thier standard options so.... you will need to make the option in softFSB yourself.... now that will be a challange. will have to ask for some extra help on that one
