CBO celly566

Hi gang just wondering if somebody could help me out here i have a 566 cbo o/c to 986 116 fsb and i want the magic 124 fbs = 1054 i know thats asking alot and i am very happy with 986 but everbody always gets greedy here r my specs asus p3v4x celly 566 cbo maxtor 30 gig ata100 7200 asus v6600 geforce o/c to 150/210 128 megs ram pc 100 but does 133 tested on y freinds comp sound blaster live value. I can post at 1054 but it doesnt reconize my hd for some reason is it becouse the pci is underclocked running at 31mhz? any help would be great

I would say probably so. Some people say Maxtors don't overclock very well, others will disagree, but this, in my opinion, considering it's not recognizing your hard drive, is no doubt due to an underclocked PCI bus.

I really don't think there is anything you can do.

You're really asking a lot out of that poor little cBO C-566 chip. Most of them won't go much past 950. The fastest I can run mine and make it through benchmarks is 978. I have had mine up to 1020. The few times I make it through the Windows start-up, it'll immediately crash if you try to do anything...like moving the mouse...LOL. Mostly I run mine at 952@1.75v, especially if I'm gaming, because it's rock solid at that speed.
