44c is a little warm, but still not unreasonable. I have seen some coppermines that become unstable around 45c, but some don't seem to mind it too much. What are you using for cooling? How much case cooling do you have? My goal is to keep temps under 40c even after prolonged maximum load.

i wouldnt worry about 44 under a burning test....... most of burnin test get the CPU to temps that it is next to imposible to get an a real world app.... seti@home, prime95 ect.... they will not even heat your CPU up that bad.
ALthough... i would get a better prog to do burnin test with as this one doesnt do a vary good job of heating the CPU up all the way... CPUStabTest is a very good prog for that.

Although, 44 is pushing it in real apps, my Celly doesnt like anything much higher than 45C funny things start to happen.

you can grab that prog here

now see how much you CPU heats up

I'll have to agree with Tim...try to keep your CPU temp under 40 degrees, if you want stability. I'm speaking from experience here.

Tim, I see you're a fellow Floyd fan. I have a bunch of their music, including dozens of live concert ROIOs and imports, not to mention all of their official releases..."By the way, which one's Pink?"
