The one with the lowest multiplier and newest stepping on a 100Mhz FSB that you can get. Most probably a P3 700 cC0
Hi,
I just bought a PIII700e (SL45Y), hits 933 no probs, does 1001 with +1 volt (1.75) and extra cooling.. I think thats your best option and should be best value.. Compare the price between a 933 and a 700 and you'll know what I mean.

well....yeah...the 700E is a great overclocker...
hitting 1GHz isn't really that hard and i gotta say that 1GHz doesn't mean a big performance difference from 900+Mhz...
a 700E@933 can perform very well...hehehehe

700 cCO will give you best bang for the buck. Very easy o/c to 933. May have to juice it a little to get over 1Ghz.
If you are patient, you might want to wait a bit for the new "cD0" stepping Pentium III's that are going to be released. Perhaps the IHS (Intergrated Heat Spreader) that will be incorporated onto the Pentium III's core will improve heat transfer off the core for better overclocking results.
However, if you can't wait then I would suggest you purchase the stable "cB0" stepping Pentium III 700 chip, I currently have one and am able to take it to 980Mhz @ 140Mhz FSB with Artic Silver and an Alpha PEP66T heatsink and fan. (Note: You could also consider purchasing the "new" Artic Silver II that is now available for perhaps improved heat transfer @ www.highspeedpc.com )
Hope that helps.

Only one is the best and that is the PIII700E cCo Got mine to 1050 without any problem!! Go for it !
I agree for the $$ the 700 is good that what I too ruun. But some other good OCers are the 600 and 650. You could probably hit 960-1040(160fsb) with those if you get a good chip.
hhmmm....there seems to be alot of support for those 700's...:))
