Hi all, i'm new to this part of the forum so sorry if i get this wrong. I don't know alot about sound and speakers for a PC, so i need some help. I would like some 5.1/6.1 speakers for my PC. I had some 5.1 speakers but i had alot of trouble with them so i took them back. I would like some speakers that have Dolby® Digital and/or DTS Decoding. I will also need a soundcard to run them with. Same with the sound i would like it to support Dolby® Digital and DTS Decoding.

Would if be better if i had speakers or a soundcard that supported THX?

The problem i had with the 5.1 speakers was that the centre speaker didn't work as a set only if you pluged it in the front speaker port.

Thank you (sorry for going on a lot)

for speakers, z-5300 is very good and about half the price of the 680's. I can't recommend any other sound cards as i have the audigy2.

Look at a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz for your soundcard. Great for music.

Logitech Z-640's are the poor mans surround sound speakers to have. :D Pair them with a good card such as a Santa Cruz and the sound is pretty impressive for the price.
