ok i know i know, but is there any disadvantages in OC getting the 256mb version?

or should i stick with the 128? money is of no concern between the 2..


any help would be great!

Well if money is no concern you should be looking at a 9700-Pro 9800np. Theres no real performance difference in the 128 and the 256 yet... doom3 is said to use alot of memory ,but I don't think you would need it anyway. I would get the 128 Asus 9600XT.

i meant that the price difference between the 2 is of no concern! lol,

is there any difference between the asus one and the saphire?

Great package with lots of extras. Yes stay away from the 256 versions. 128 will be fine, and its 2.8ns ram too boot. The sapphires come with the fireblade ram, ASUS comes with same ram without the fancy name. Also since they Just stopped putting in the HL2 coupon, maybe you will still get one because the cards were already made. The ASUS cards really didnt sell out over Xmas like the sapphires did.

If i wasnt just looking for a replacement for my 9600pro when i ordered this sapphire, I would have jumped all over that asus card for sure.

Have to say, My sapphire is a great card. But the asus comes with monitoring software and all that good stuff.
