Ok I setup Apache 2.0.48, the newest version I think from Apaches site. Well I set it up on an extra win XP box (PIII, 512 PC133). Its IP is 192.168.0.XX and I set the DMZ to that IP of that computer. I can see the test page on my comp or any other one my network. But people cant see it from the internet. So how do i setup like port or whatever so others can access it? With port forwarding they just type in my modems IP I get from adelphia and the router forwards it to the webserver right? Im kinda confused, so any help would be appreciated.
YOu need to give them your wan ip address from your isp. Keep in mind, some isp's block the defaul port of 80, if so, you will need to change your apache to listen on another port, 8080 for example and change your port forwarding from port 80 to 8080. Then your friends would have to put a :8080 after your external address,,,,

Do you happen to know if adelphia blocks 80? I setup port 80 forwarding and got the no-ip.com addy and set it up correctly (thx Su Root) but now when I type in my ip my routers login pops up???!? Im confused lol.
Also, I can complie a list of ISPs that block certain server ports if ppl want to tell me. I think it would help every one who wants to host a server.
Find out what your router's wan ip is via the router's web setup, then type that address in your browser and see if your page comes up. I'm not sure if your isp blocks port 80. You can pm me with your wan address and I can try.

I got the wan addy and all and I changed to port 85 and setup apache to use port 85 by editing httpd.txt in the conf folder too. I also setup the redirtect on my DL614 to use port 85 for the apache server and still I get a page cannot be displayed.
