Hello did anyone upgrade from Artic Silver 3 to 5, or any other previous ones to Artic Silver 5 for water cooling.

What temperature difference was there?
How long it took that temperature to drop? days? weeks?

Any temperatures you recall?

Thanks!

I doubt it would be worth it to upgrade an existing installation from AS3 to AS5. Any new installations should probably be done with AS5 if you don't mind spending a few bucks to buy new paste.

4'' in chinese is pronounced similar to 'death' . My point is it's unlucky for chinese people too. When I bought my new car, my dad requested for there to not be any 4's in my license plate number :D. Of course they wouldn't make that request buy luckily I didn't have any 4's. (I'm chinese btw)

not sure about japanese, but yeah

(sorry for the change of subject)

When I originally set up my watercooling system I used AS5 and I just reset it up and am now using some old AS2 that was all I had in the closet. My findings are that there is little to no difference noticeable between those two. MAYBE a degree or two in my case, but your mileage may vary.

Just like 8 is a lucky number right? 2828 anyone? (jlin453 will know what I'm talking about).

If my japanese numbers are correct, they are something like:

ich, nee, san, shee
1 2 3 4

I think "shi" means death in japanese. This would explain the unlucky connotations placed on the number 4.
