The 700e will be a cBo retail chip. The S-spec is SL454 (which looks to be pretty good). I orded this stuff from; http://www.kdcomputers.com/ (alpha) and http://www.peltec.f2s.com/slot.html (peltier). I am looking for someone who has an alpha, and/or a peltier also. I'll have to cut my case some more to add another power supply. This is gonna be a 86w Peltier, I am gonna use a new 300w atx psu. These are the readings from it: 14A@+3.3V, 25A@+5V, 10A@12V, 1A@+5VSB, 0.5A@-5V,0.5A@-12V. Is this gonna be enough to power the peltier? Another question is after I get everything set-up should i try to POST at like 933, or Start at 700, and go slow? Also, right now I am running 150mhz FSB, when I get this new chip does that mean that my stuff should do 150mhz (if the chip does) on a 700e? (That would ROCK). Thanks for any help. I am looking to work 1 on 1 possible with someone or a few people that have done this before. I really don't wanna fry the mb/chip.
Thanks
Mark

There is only one person who knows the answer to this question - and that is you once you have tried it out.

It is impossible to apply set forces and measures and obtain set results. Overclocking would be very boring if that were the case

I have used the same setup for months but I only had a 52 watt pelt. Basically it is the pc-10 sold at pretestedcpus.com. My slot 1 700 cbo would do 1050 mhz with a retail heatsink 1.65 volts and would top out at 1152 mhz with the pelt/alpha. after several months and always worring about condensation I took off the alpha/pelt and replaced it with a slot 1 orb and it chugs along at 1080 mhz 1.75v ifd i crank it up it will go 1100mhz 1.85v but i feel safer without the alpha. My suggestion is check for condesation often and dont let it get below 4c. Mine would get down to -20c with rain activated and never get hotter than 8c thats at 1152 mhz 1.8v Feel free to email with any questions

Hi Mark , i have been using a peltier setup for over a year now and the condensation problem is one that is up to you . If you seal EVERYTHING with silicone and closed cellfoam and apply dielectric grease to the socket holes (if you have a socket based mobo) the condensation can be ruled out. I am using the 80 watt pelt with a Alpha PEP66T and to my opinion it's the best combo !! I have a separate power supply for my pelt which is a 13.4 volt stable power supply.
Again , its up to you how good you isolate the peltier and rule out condensation. The preassembeld combo's which only have the closed cellfoam for isolation are NOT good enough although the most vendors say it is.
Let us now how you go along with your project and feel free to email if you have any questions !!
