Ok here are my questions:
There are just so models! What is the difference between the MD20RLT, MD20RLXT and MD20RLZT ??? I found out a store in Canada that sell the 2 first.
Second, those one seems to be with higher output of 1/2" . Does a reducer to 1/2" ID(to fit to my system tubing) will not be good??
Then I also have the choice of running one Iwaki MD20R that is 220V. This one could be a lot cheaper, but what will I have to use to be able to use it?? And is this one have a good pressure?
Thanks a lot!

Heya, which stores in Canada sell these??
I am just as interested as you are - the different model numbers, and specs are very confusing - and I also heard that these pumps leak really easily - can anyone who uses one share their experience?

MD20RLZT = High head (The one you want)
MD20RLXT = High flow (really low head rating)
MD20RLT = Standard model.
The "L" in the model number only denotes 110V operation.
I don't completely understand your second question. If it already has an output of 1/2", why do you need a reducer? If the outlet is bigger than 1/2" then using a reducer won't cause anything bad to happen. What ever you do, don't restrict the input.
To use a 220V pump with 110V you will need a rather large transformer to step up the voltage. Not worth it in my opinion.
for your convienience:

I was asking this, because the input and ouptut size of the md20 series are 3/4", I'm I right?

MD20RLZT = 3/4"
MD20RLT = 3/4"
MD20RLXT = 1"
All the info you could want. (http://www.iwakiwalchem.com/iwaki/products/mdwmd.htm)
You can reduce it without problems. The threads are 3/4", but the actual hole is just big enough for me to fit my pinky finger in.

Those flow rates are in gallons per minute with those high head values? :eek: I gotta get me one of these pumps!

They are great pumps.
Iwaki has a new series. The RD series is a 24V DC magdrive pump with an ever better head rating and half the wattage. The only problem is there a B**** to get ahold of and relativly expensive.

Do you have any more info on the "RD" series? Like where they are being sold (unless it is only in bulk quantities :()?

All the info for the RD series is on their web-site. Linkage. (http://www.iwakiwalchem.com/iwaki/products/rd.htm)
If I understand Iwaki's distribution system correctly, no vendors actually have stock on hand (at least for the smaller ones). When an order is placed the vendor contacts Iwaki, then Iwaki ships direct. With that known any vendor should be able to order any pump.
I contacted my usual vendor about a month ago and never heard back from them. They're a little flaky unless you have an order pending.

Man, these look so sweet - the only problems being the $300+ CDN Price tag, and the bulky size of them for a PC pump. Also - I'm guessing you wouldn't get the most out of one unless you had a Jet-Impingement Block (scrap my Swiftech).
What about leaking Uber Blue? I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that these had an issue with frequent leaks (or maybe that was another pump...)

Actually, the RD's are tiny compared to the WMD/MD series.
Johnson 12V DC pumps were the ones with the leak issue.
