On average what voltage do you have to run the 2500+ "locked" at to get 11 x 200 stable. at 1.75 i can only run prime95 for like 2 or 3 min before i get an error.

Most newer CPUs can do that speed at default voltage.

Then what can I try to make this system a tad more stable ^^;;
there's onli 1 way, increase vcore

>.< doh figured that was gonna be the answer heheh, so this prolly has nothing to do with my mem timeings or voltages and such. Crappy ram but still "geil 3200".
increasing ram voltage are for the fsb and tighter timings =]
no need to increase since u runing them at def 200fsb

so i just got stuck with a crumby cpu that craves high voltage lol.

Iv increased vcore up to 1.825 and it seems stable now but I will run prime95 for a 12 or 24 hour stand to make sure but it made it thru the first test just fine which it never has before.
I got lucky and can do it on 1.65 even with air cooling.

i would say it depends on the processors temps and stepping. I may be wrong.

ram makes a big difference also.
I have pc2700 ram, so I can't go above 185fsb or it doesnt boot.

Geil 3200 RAM needs a bit more voltage than the default. If you go to Geil's site and look at the docs, it actually says that the memory needs to run at more volts that what most motherboards pump into it by default, So if your motherboard allows it, change the memory voltage from 2.5V to 2.8V or even 2.9V.

Haha. My pc2100 ram runs perfectly stable at 189FSB and stock voltage. It's kingston value ram in dual channel btw.

Well since 2.2 ghz was my only real goal, and I got all this hardware for free im not going to really worry about it right now. Tho thanks all for your help, and in the future I will try tightening the timings on my ram and raising the voltage to it. BTW just started folding ;)
