I have crappy PC2100 RAM :( So my question is, is it better to have timings of 2.5, 3, 3, 6 running at 133Mhz OR timings of 3, 3, 3, 8 at 166Mhz?

The higher speed will definately yeild a greater preformance boost.

Try running 3DMark2001SE both ways and let us know both scores. It might be interesting to see the results.

what system do u have? my the pc2100 ram i have will do 193 stable with 2.8v, not sure on the timings i cannot remember :) maybe u could up it to 166 and then overclock your system :) this would be better than tight timings

166 locked up my system. Back to 133 for now.
