Well I went to Best Buy looking for some z-680's hearing about how they were on clearnace for 199.99 (Guessing there sick of people bringing it back for the hissing?) So anyways they had one left and it was an opened box so I get it for 179.99, then before I go in line I notice the remote is missing so the manager tells the clerk, take 30 bucks off. So now im down to 149.99 for some Z-680's, not bad huh? I dont even need the remote, I'll call logitech up though and see if by a chance I can get a free one because Best Buy sure wont be getting any.

But other then that I do get the hiss problem, oh well what Z-680's don't get it right? And as it seems the updated control pad doesnt do much, but is it worth it asking for one? Does it take down some hiss really? Well thanks

I would first go into your audio Properties and make sure that everything is on mute except for the master and wave. Try that first and let us know how it works out.

to be honest with you I have the 1st release on the z-680's and I cant hear the hiss over my puter anyway. the trick is not to over process the sound. like Mystikal said mute all that you're not using then play with the volume slides to find where is sounds best. (great deal on those spk's)
