I bought a Celeron 667 and a Abit slotket to my Abit BH6 motherboard and my intention was overclocking but no luck. With 100 MHz FSB I get a black screen and I can't even get in to the bios, have to break the power off and wait 30 minutes until I can try again to get in to the bios. Trying 75 or 83MHz FSB result in a message Cpu is unworkable or has been changed please recheck cpu soft menu. I have tried set the slotket on auto frequency settings and 100MHz and voltage settings at auto an 1.65-1.85V
but with the same result The only thing that works is 667MHz.
Is there someone out there who can give me a tip I would really appreciate that

That slotket sucks. You need to get something a little better. Basically, you have to manually set everything on the adapter, no auto. And pc-66 memory is no good , you will not be able to o/c.

I have heard the Iwill slotkets (ver?) are very good, the MSI ms-6905 master is what I am using now and its great.

I have had an Abit Slocket!!! and I liked it (my 2 ¢ worth).

I would try to set it at 83 FSB and check the cas speed in the bios @ latency 3,3,3 and remove everything 'cept your video card then re-boot. Try putting things back in 1 at a time tilll you have a problem.

Good luck; More than half my fun of overclocking comes from my failures.

PS.. Instead of going thru all that shutting down stuff when it doesn't boot to Windows...try cold booting and hitting the "Insert" or "F1" key repeatedly to get into a cleared bios.

Also, don't forget to disable Speed Error Hold in the BIOS!!!!

Thank's for the tip a got. Disabling the speed error hold was a good advice from Tim, I did so and now I'm running 83MHz FSB 1.75V = 833MHz. Maybee I try higher , it is very stable temperture round 25C
Thank's
