HI
can anyone help me with overclocking my PII 333?
It's a 98300724-0102 malay SL2S5
The other no. on the CPU is 80523PX333512
the fsb is running on 66MHZ
i've got a gigabyte ga686bx board with 192MB ram at 100MHZ

When i change the fsb to 100MHz, it's only beeping and nothing happens.

can anyone give me hint what i'm doing wrong?

Thx

You're going to be lucky getting 75+MHz out of that old thing. The big-cored Mendocino Pentiums and Celerons just don't have alot to give other than heat, which is our enemy already.

Your PC is beeping because it basically is saying you're killing it. That processor can't handle 100MHz FSB. It might if it were kept below freezing temperatures, but I doubt it.

If all you have is 100MHz FSB beyond your default 66 then you're going to have to be happy where you are unless you want to delve into that land of active cooling.
