after uve hooked up the computers goto 'my network places', on the left hand side select 'set up home or office network' follow the setup instructions. Repeat this on the other computer, now when u open 'my network places' u should be able to see both computers, simply move files between them.

marley wouldnt you need to share the hard drive so that you could open the other one?

Or put them on the same network, set the workgroups to the same name (r-click on My Computer - Properties - Computer Name - Change), then click Ny Network Places, double click on the other computer. You would have to share out the folder, but you don't have to share out the whole hard drive.

File and printer shareing has to be installed on each machine. Then you have to share the dirves that you want access to. Both are easy tasks.

What OS does each computer have?
