Don't really have that big a problem, just an annoying one.

I have a tv Card in my system(cheapo)and the sound needs to be plugged in to my mobo.
Only the sockets are used by my 5.1 surround system.
They are also in the wrong sockets, rear speakers in the mic, center speakers in the line in.This is the only way they will work properly.(It is an option given by the soundstorm interface,so they know about it).

To get sound from my tv card,I have to unplug the rear speakers, then plug in the tv card's cable. Then swap it all back to play music or games.

Very fiddely and annoying.

Is there a fix?Or a way round it?

If your picky about pluggin the rear speakers into the Mic etc then get NVSwap (google it , very common) and it will allow you to swap the ports around.

On the other problem how about a doubler, you know the things that you plug into your discman etc so you can use 2 sets of head phones..... there pretty common and it should solve your problem.

Hope this helps, Loki

Well, there are some internal headers as far as I remember, for CD_IN and AUX at least. Wire it to one of those, problem solved!

And if you mod the tuner card a bit, it can all be internal..
