View Full Version : New to Socket Pentium III cpus Overclocking! Can anyone help me?
Hello guys I've done 4 Amd cpus overcloced (3 Durons and 1 Tbird) i just wnat to know what is the deal to overclock the Intel Pentium III cpus?
Do i have to unlock them?
If you have any Links to sites with Pentium III or Celeron overclocers guide and can let me get them, I would really appreciate it!
Thanks for you time!

yep, see the beginner's guide on the front page, and the email FAQs. Intel CANNOT be unlocked. Good Luck.
so if intel cant be unlock, how can people overclock it?

Maybe i should clarify, the cpu multiplier cannot be unlocked. Intel oc'ing is all in the FSB, which creates potential issues with the PCI buss, memory, agp buss... It's an art.
ok e laursen I understand what you mean now, so what do you recommend to do? do it or now? I know is an ART but can i be an artist? (or would you like to share your skills with me?)

You make sure you have a good quality everything.
GFX card.
Memory.
Hard-drive.
Modem.
Sound Card.
etc.
Remember that good quality doesn't mean expensive.
The better quality peripherals are better at withstanding the abuse that is given at dodgy clock speeds.
People new to overclocking who've only ever done a Socket A or Slot A processor are only just finding out with the introduction of the KT133A that FSB overclocking is a dodgy place to be at !!!
