Go HERE (http://home.rochester.rr.com/mods/) and Download the Keyboard Mod.zip. It is a complete step-by-step to modding your keyboard with ELwire I did about a year or so ago. It is in .doc format so make sure you have msword installed. Hope that helps ya. Good Luck.
And no its not verry hard to do this mod. Keep us posted on your progress.

SVC has a 5' kit for under $7 and it comes with a dual inverter here (http://www.svc.com/elwirecolors.html) . EL wire itself is pretty cheap. The real cost comes in from the inverter. So the SVC deal looks pretty good. Anyone else have any suggestions?

Unless of course you use a 5V inverter which you could wire directly from the PS/2 cable. They are pretty expensive though ($20) (http://www.neontrim.com/inverters.shtml#5vinvrtr)

PS/2 and USB both run on 5V. The standard current rating for any device you buy should be printed on it's underside.
